Greetings, ECEBC Members, Early Childhood educators of Greater Victoria,

We are planning an Autumn Workshop and we hope you can join us. There will be a speaker presentation, sharing or resources and of course food.

9-11:30: ASL with Denise Read


Denise is a bilingual French Canadian. Born Deaf, Denise earned a Bachelor of Arts at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. She earned a second degree as well as her Deaf teaching certificate at the University of Ottawa. She has taught the LSQ (Quebec Sign Language) and ASL classes more that 20 years and co-founded American Sign Language of Montreal, where she served as director for 12 years. Denise's passion for drama and performing arts translates to her being a dynamic and engaging ASL instructor.

 12-2:30 pm: Nature School with Anna St. Denis


Anna will guide you through an introduction to nature school- from risk to practical skills, you’ll gain knowledge on how a forest school works and how to begin offering your own nature school experience in your own setting. 

*please bring outdoor clothing, rain pants and jackets, rain boots and a warm layer! We will  plan to spend some time outside rain or shine
